Write for us

There are so many great bloggers out there writing about their experiences in counselling and psychotherapy. The purpose of this site is to bring all that great material together.

The concept is this; publishing pieces from bloggers across WordPress who write about being in therapy. I think this could be a great resource for people like us, who are in therapy themselves, but also for those starting out. Hopefully therapists will also find it useful, as they can read here about what happens on our side of the room.

When it comes to therapy, there are common pain points among a lot of the bloggers I follow. Here, I’m going to group posts into categories aligning with these, so it’s easy to find a wealth of perspectives on a particular issue when you’re struggling with it.

If you’d like to write, some suggested topics could be:

  • Attachment
  • Touch in therapy
  • Boundaries
  • Struggles with the therapeutic relationship
  • Ruptures in the therapuetic alliance
  • Therapist holidays
  • Dissociation
  • Stuckness
  • And lots more I am sure! This is by no means an exhaustive list.

Other useful stuff I’d welcome contributions on could be around:

  • Starting therapy – how was your first ever session? What did you expect?
  • How to choose a therapist
  • What took you into therapy
  • Etc.

Would you like to contribute a post?

If you’re interested in sharing your writing, don’t be shy – I’d love to hear from you! In return, you’ll get my gratitude, as well as some link juice for your blog and hopefully some referred readers in time.

I’m not going to impose word limits or anything, I want the material I share here to be authentic and personal to the author. For that reason, I also won’t edit anything you write. It doesn’t need to be brand new, it can be something you’ve published on your own site already. My only ask is that you don’t include any swearing, so we can be as reader-friendly as possible.

If you’re interested, send an email via the contact form and I’ll get back to you.
